Our performances in 2023 began with a special tribute to my guru Smt. Indra Rajan. It was a trip down memory lane filled with nostalgic thoughts and some regrets about how little one could do to help her in her struggles in life and to honor her Devadasi heritage that was shunned in her lifetime. Om Sri Gurubhyo Namaha (To the guru, I bow) was an appropriate salutation to her extraordinary talent and grit.
