Intensive dance workshop for dancers who have studied Bharatanatyam for at least 5 years.

OBJECTIVES
- Body Conditioning – increase flexibility and strength using exercises derived from yoga and martial arts
- Bharatanatyam Fundamentals – deepen the training in the fundamentals of the art
- nritta – learn rhythmic sequences through a Jatiswaram and Thillana
- abhinaya – improve expression by learning a Padam
- nattuvangam – learn to vocalize rhythms for the art of conducting
- theory – learn dance theory from Abhinaya Darpana
- natya – improve acting and characterization using episodes from the Ramayana
- Music – learn basic Carnatic music concepts in Bharatanatyam pieces
- History – learn about the history and development of Bharatanatyam
- Performance – provide a performance opportunity to develop choreographic and performance skills
